Social Media for a music marketing company Pay: $15/h, 20-30 hours a week

Build, create and manage our clients’ social media profiles and presence, including Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Spotify, Twitter and additional channels that may be deemed relevant for music marketing purposes Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our artists with influencers and online communities Ability to work well with others and understand organized content layout for artists social media schedule and production calendars Editorial writing and photo/video post strategies for our clients based on demographics, tourdates, music genre, audience tastes and personal artist lifestyle tastes. Create engaging marketing caption and promotions for clients Spotify marketing (Placement of artists onto Spotify curated playlists) – pitching Spotify curators Dynamic programming use such as Twitter Chats/Polls/Mentions, Instagram Live, Facebook and IG stories and IGTV utilization/promotions Work alongside our other social media marketing team members to create, repurpose and help distribute content that educates and entertains and entices our clients’ audience and supports marketing goals Data analytics – track, measure and analyze all initiatives with status reports to client Contribute to artist newsletters and website copy Participate in planning and creative meetings Respond to emails from clients in a timely manner Create, curate and organize all digital assets/content/documents for each project/campaign Coordination of media ad buys and tracking Manage and coordinate projects and work with 2-3 social media coordinators and future potential social media interns 20-30 hours – flexible but prefer someone who can work daytime Mon-Fri or be available in that time period as we have a lot of account activity/changes/updates that occur during day time hours either west coast or east coast. Qualifications: – 1-3 years experience working with multiple music/artist accounts in capacity of social media is preferred for consideration – BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience – Ability to be well organized and detail to attention is an absolute must – Extremely enthusiastic and passionate about the digital music/entertainment industry and willing to grow the company’s portfolio by assisting in non-entertainment brands and products – Above average knowledge/experience for optimizing social media marketing best practices and keeping up with the latest digital trends in social media – Strong copywriting skills needed for social media content creation – Self starter and self managed is key – Must be creative with ideas about artist campaigns and passionate about social media and eager to learn all the newest updates/technologies involved in digital music marketing – Must be comfortable working in music of all genres with emphasis towards older demographic – Able to keep calm and poised under high-stress situations with deadlines – Must have a drive to grow within a small business atmosphere – Must be detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and handle time-sensitive projects effectively – Basic photoshop/graphic design and audio/video editing skills for social media content positioning – Proficient in writing content for social media, basic HTML, Microsoft Word and Excel and WordPress – Knowledge of and passion for music and music industry. Basic Knowledge and interest in country/americana/jazz/rock/pop is preferred – The successful candidate will have strong writing skills, telephone skills and interpersonal skills and they will need to be comfortable interacting with clients (Artists/Managers/Record Labels). Outgoing personality, both verbally and in writing is a must. Firm understanding of how to work/communicate with artists of all personality types is preferred. – Must be a self-starter who combines a high level of creativity with strong organizational skills – Self motivated, effective problem solver
